Dear Tony's Body Shop,

I recently had a sliding door replaced on my aunt's 1990 VW Westphalia Syncro van. The service advisor was Horacio. I just wanted to say that the workmanship was very good! I am a service tech for VW and have seen some bad body shop repairs, and this was a very good repair. The older faded paint was matched perfectly and all the door gaps were perfect.

I wanted to also say that when I first came in for an estimate on a Saturday the service advisors were very helpful and polite. The thank you letters I received after the repair was completed were also nice. I was called in a timely manner and was notified of what was going on with the status of the van periodically.

Hopefully I won't have an accident or need other body repairs on my cars, but if I do I will definitely repeat my business, and recommend Tony's to anyone that needs body shop repairs.

Thanks again, also the peanuts that I was given when I picked up the van were really good too.

When my car sustained significant front end damage in a collision on January 12th, I had no idea where to take it for repairs.  Both my insurer and my colleague, who is a fleet manager, recommended Tony's Body Shop, so I had my Honda towed in.

Naturally I was upset about the accident and worried about my car.  The very next morning I was at an Oxnard Chamber of Commerce breakfast and you made a short sales pitch for Tony's Body Shop.  I was impressed with your sincerity, your obvious pride in the family business and the fact that you talked first about helping people and second about high quality auto body work.

Throughout my entire experience dealing with you, I found that your work as every bit as good as your word.  I can't tell you how refreshing it is to deal with skilled, honorable business people who do what they promise and more, on time and under budget.  The last time my car looked this good I was probably driving it off the dealers' lot.  You delivered exceptional craftsmanship with great courtesy, and you brought the job in under the estimate.

I can't think of what more a customer could ask of you.  Thank you so much for turning a car accident into a positive business experience.  I will be telling my friends and colleagues about Tony's for years to come.

Here, finally, is a letter I've been writing that I mentioned to you over the telephone today.

First, I though it very thoughtful that you called to see if I was satisfied with the work your shop had performed on my car.  It is not often in today's world that the busy owner of any business will take the time to call and thank his customer and be sure that his customer is satisfied and happy with the work performed.

Yes, I am very pleased with both the customer service provided and the results of the body work done on my VW.  I was provided an update almost every day as to the progress being made on my car - I never had to call and ask.  When my car was returned to me, it was not only in excellent repair, but immaculate inside and out.  Did you detail it?  That's how good it looked.

I don't recall the name of the young lady who phased me out Saturday morning when I picked up my car, but she was so pleasant and friendly, like the rest of your front office staff.

Keep up that great family tradition.  I will definitely refer everyone I know in need of a great body shop to go to "Tony's" in Oxnard.

This letter is long overdue!  I cannot count the times I have told myself that I should write a letter commending your excellent service and forwarding a copy to Allied Insurance Company administrators.   Unfortunately, procrastination - where good intentions are concerned - all too often rears its ugly head and I forget to follow through.  Today I resolved to put it in writing once and for all.

The first time my insurer referred me to your company, I was apprehensive - being unfamiliar with your business.   I wasn't sure my mini-van would get the best treatment.  I soon found that my worries were groundless!  Your staff's professionalism and proficiency are outstanding.

I especially want to commend Adrian Cruz for his thoroughness and gentlemanly courtesy.  Each time he has assessed the damage to my car and provided an estimate, he has gone out of his way to make the process as painless to my wallet as possible.. So much so, that despite the fact that  the van has been dented, it is almost pleasurable to take it in!  (Of course, paying the bill isn't exactly a party; but the outcome is worth every penny).  Your office staff is also exemplary.

Also, computer access to the progress in repair of each client's vehicle is a very welcome, unusual innovation.  Business excellence is a reflection of the administrator's acumen and considerate treatment of both his staff and customers; so my appreciation and admiration are extended to you for the manner in which you run Tony's.  You could teach a seminar to other organizations!
