Why Choose a Subaru Certified Body Shop?

It’s important to choose a Subaru certified body shop because

As a Certified Subaru Auto Body Shop, Tony’s Body Shop has an annual audit to make sure proper training thru I Car has been achieved, as well as the proper equipment in place to repair Subaru’s. How the Facility appears to the customer is also important to Subaru. In the annual certification audit, the production process is verified to validate repair quality. Subaru’s position is that pre and post scans of the vehicle’s diagnostic system be performed on every collision repair. A pre scan will identify items that may have been damaged as part of the accident. A post scan will verify that all is connected and functioning. Subaru’s requirement is that a factory scan tool be used versus a generic scan tool.  As a Certified Subaru Auto Body Shop, Tony’s Body Shop has an annual audit to make sure proper training thru I Car has been achieved, as well as the proper equipment in place to repair Subaru’s.

A pre scan will identify items that may have been damaged as part of the accident. A post scan will verify that all is connected and functioning. Subaru’s requirement is that a factory scan tool be used versus a generic scan tool. A factory scan tool knows all the vehicles options based on the vin number whereas an aftermarket scan tool isn’t always vin specific and can miss checking things. In a Subaru audit simple things like the shop floor lighting lumens are checked. Are weld tests being performed, are repair procedures being looked up and printed for the technician? The shop is to store parts on separate parts bins and or carts, but not in the vehicle. The technicians are to cover any door openings and cover and protect steering wheels and seats. Subaru also has vehicle specific safety checks that it wants done as part of the Subaru Auto Body Repair. As a certified Subaru Body Shop Tony’s Body Shop’s goals is to follow the recommendations of the manufacturer to return a customers car’s crash worthiness as it was before the collision accident.
